I photographed this scene on my winter 2022 trip to Death Valley National Park. I found this dead desert holly bush while enjoying my morning tea, then made plans to return and photograph it the following day. The course wind-blown sand made a wonderful backdrop for the delicate twisted branches.

This photo was taken on Fuji Provia 100F transparency film with a Fujinon A 240mm f/9.0 lens on an Arca-Swiss F Metric view camera.
