I photographed this scene on spring 2022 backpacking trip to the canyons of southern Utah. With my campsite not far from this subject, I visited this shapely juniper first thing in the morning and photographed it soft reflected light. It was a calm morning without a cloud in the sky, and this was my favorite photo from that trip. It contains so many of the elements I see while visiting this region, and I love the soft pastel color palette.
