I photographed this scene on my autumn 2022 visit to Zion National Park. After having taken a photo in a nearby meadow, I made my way further up the canyon, soon finding myself in a maple grove with soft reddish sand at my feet. The recent rain left behind fascinating patterns in the sand, especially when combined with fallen leaves from the canopy overhead. This photo was taken on Fuji Provia 100 8x10 film using my Arca-Swiss F Metric camera. This is the final photo I took with that camera before transitioning to a lightweight camera made by Chamonix.
